Year 8 Homework


Year 8 History Homework – Spring Half Term 2 You have TWO weeks to complete this task. 
Date due: 
You need to create a timeline of American History which covers the time period from 1450 AD to 2017 AD.  We suggest that you complete this on A3 paper. 
You must include all the key American events listed below, plus additional events of your choice that you consider significant.  You must have at least fifteen events on your timeline from a range of different time periods.  You may produce this in colour and use visual aids as necessary. 
Challenge:  What was happening simultaneously to events in America? Include three events that occurred in Europe or the rest of the world. Use a different colour.
Events to include:


·         Abolition of slavery.
·         American joining the First World War.
·         First Black President of the United States of America.
·         American wars of independence.
·         First man on the moon.
·         Constitution signed.
